Moon Charms and What Comes Next!
Thank you to everyone who came out and said hello at Pax Unplugged!
As many of you who spoke with me know, Elderwood Academy and I are teaming up to bring you Moon Charms, a full set of seven polyhedral dice with my stained glass designs (snapshot below). Moon Charms will be coming to you via a crowd funding campaign this coming year (2026) alongside larger hex chests with new art!
There is no set month yet for our release, but we will keep you posted! We are going to tool this until we get it just right. We have high hopes, and higher standards.
So many of you have cheered me on over the years, and I have heard many of you say "someday" you hoped to get one of my pieces. I wanted to answer your support and kindness by creating a much more accessible, yet still striking "someday."
In that spirit, this set will be in my flagship lunar design. It was the first stained glass design I ever made back in April 2021. You can see the dice that started it all HERE. Even almost five years later, it is still a personal and fan favorite.
If you would like to be kept posted, I will be mentioning it in my very infrequent newsletters, as well as on my Instagram. That being said, I would highly recommend you sign up for Elderwood Academy's Newsletter and follow them on their socials. They will be headlining this campaign and are the driving force that makes all this possible.
If you have any questions or curiosities, please let me know. You can reach me via my contact page!
Cheers! RG
HANDCRAFTED FINE ART DICE
Fine Art With Function
Fine art in the form of dice?
Yes, and it is so worth it.
All dice are designed and made by me. From idea to final concept, there are sometimes dozens of hours invested before a physical form exists.
Arduous is the name of the game. The main component of my sparkly inclusion mix is cut by hand. While that definitely takes some time, the control it grants over the size and shape of the material is well worth it. Then, again by hand, the stained glass panes are meticulously painted. Balancing color theory while maintaining clarity and brightness. Every D20 is sanded and polished for a final mirror finish. If I can't read the warning sticker on the underside of my work light in the reflection of a die, it doesn't pass the test. Picking up on that arduous vibe yet?
These dice have claimed my blood, sweat, tears, and sleep. They are carefully and lovingly crafted, not manufactured. These works may be small, but they are mighty.
